Welcome to Bulbapedia, Lovewaterpokemon!

Here are a few links to help you get started:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format of all pages on Bulbapedia.

Our friendly team of staff are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with Bulbapedia.

On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), or by using the "Your signature with a timestamp" (button_sig.png) button at the top of the edit window.

On Bulbapedia, the ability to edit personal userpages is a privilege. Per our userpage policy, this must be earned by first making constructive edits to the mainspace. Once you can, remember to keep userspace edits (edits to User:Lovewaterpokemon) to a minimum.

For a complete list of policies and editing advice, please see the Welcome Portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Your talk page

Your talk page isn't the place to tell people you love Water Pokémon or what your favourite Poké Ball is. You can say that on your userpage. Just remember the userspace edit limit. Also, please be aware that it's spelled Poké Ball, not Pokeball, and the é in Pokémon is necessary when editing the mainspace, okay?--Pokélova! 02:19, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

And don't put your opinions on the mainspace either, such as your edit to Poké Ball.--Pokélova! 02:25, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Userpage background

Hmm, I saw your questions on TTE's and Pokélova's talk pages... this seems to be what you're looking for. Read over it, and ask me if you need any help :D たかはり 04:41, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Hey, thanks! I hope you like my page now! ~~ Lovewaterpokemon~~ ^ _ ^ 16:37, 9 October 2010 (UTC)Lovewaterpokemon

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! ----Cold (talk) 16:39, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Hey

I saw you asking for help for your user page, so for your favorite Pokémon I made a table you can use:

Is it ok to just copy and paste the stuff you did until I can actually learn to type it?? Please say yes!! ~~ Lovewaterpokemon~~ ^ _ ^ 01:43, 10 October 2010 (UTC)Lovewaterpokemon

Yes... But...

Well, thanks for that awesome table but how do you make it yourself? I would like to know how to do it. Thanks! ~~ Lovewaterpokemon~~ ^ _ ^ 00:58, 10 October 2010 (UTC)Lovewaterpokemon

Learning how the code works is easy. Start editing that section, cut out a piece of code and preview. Whatever breaks is what that bit of code does. Then paste it back in and do the same with something else. When you are done, just close the tab or click a link (rather than saving the page) and carry on doing whatever you were doing. Hey, so I was wondering how you create the symbol of the line that runs straight up and down with nothing. Like one paralell line? I can't see the symbol on the computer keyboard. - unsigned comment from Lovewaterpokemon (talkcontribs)
You mean this: |? Cause it's on the keyboard, just found as the shift version of backwards slash (\), which is next to ] or }, above the enter key, and below the equals or plus/backspace key. It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 01:47, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

You're welcome. It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 01:50, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Your welcome, I made the table by copying the one here and then removing some Pokémon and changing the types, colors and images. Pikiwyn talk 09:44, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

I See Awesome Stuff

So, I've been visiting other people's userpages and havve been seeing little boxes with small Pokémon and things such as "this user identifys as a male" and "this user wants a copy of HeartGold or SoulSilver" and I was wondering how to do it. I also have been clicking the editing button so that I can see how they work but I am still a little bit confused. How do you get those boxes to the side????? ~~ Lovewaterpokemon~~ 14:33, 10 October 2010 (UTC)Lovewaterpokemon

They're called usertags. Everything that you should know to use them should be in that link, but since I'm nice, I'll explain it to you here.

Let's say you want to put this tag on your user page. You would type it like this: {{User No Vandal}}. For some tags, such as {{User Favorite}}, you'll need to put in a bit more. In that particular tag's case, you would put {{User Favorite|##|Bulbasaur}}.

A full list of them can be found at the User tags category.

Oh, and for future reference, your talk page isn't the best place to ask for help. Try asking on the talk page of the user who's stuff you want to copy, but only if they've been active recently.--Cold (talk) 14:41, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Incidentally, you can view these things by pressing the "show preview" button next to the "save page" button, instead of saving a million times and cluttering the Recent Changes. Also, you've hardly made any mainspace edits recently. Bulbapedia's an encyclopedia, so adding information comes before your personal content.--Cold (talk) 15:04, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Apart from the usertags that already exist you can also make your own with whatever you want on, if you want to let me know and I'll show you how. Pikiwyn talk 15:12, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
