Fan names

百度百科不是官方的，不能太依靠的，他們也有這些（烈咬陸鯊、暴蠑螈、巨金怪），另外，這些從大陸的百科也使用台灣的官譯－神奇寶貝百科（烈咬陸鯊、暴蠑螈、巨金怪）和 口袋百科（烈咬陸鯊、暴蠑螈、巨金怪）。

您所有加上的名字是愛好者發明的名稱－例如 口袋妖怪（神奇寶貝/神奇宝贝/寵物小精靈）、圓企鵝（波加曼）、伊修（イッシュ*）、希羅娜（竹蘭）等。Chao 13:16, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

不是不尊重大陆的名称，个人也觉得有一些官译也一点奇怪，还有一些个人不太喜欢接受，例如Kibago和Chillarmy的译名，个人也想过「幼牙龙」和「奇拉米」比「牙牙」和「泡沫栗鼠」较好听，但是「牙牙」和「泡沫栗鼠」已经是官译了，「幼牙龙」和「奇拉米」并非是官译。西方的爱好者也喜欢叫Tsutarja（藤藤蛇）Smugleaf，但是官方把那只草蛇翻成Snivy，个人也觉得Smugleaf比较好听，但是如果百科不使用Snivy而使用Smugleaf ，这里就混乱，既然如此，如果接受了大陆的名称，在许多的名称中其他的人就不就能知道哪一个是官译。关于Empoleon（帝王拿波）的官译，「帝王」是因为它是以帝王企鹅为原型的，「拿波」是从拿破仑·波拿巴（Napoleon Bonaparte），其它的语言的名字中也跟波拿巴的名字有关联，「波」也是因为它是水系的，关于Cynthia的官译，在动画和漫画中她是叫做竹兰（这个名字觉得不错），还有新的地区的中名已经公开了（合众地方），虽然您们觉得音译「伊Ｘ」比较好听，這失去了本意，日名Isshu就是从「一種類」，英名就改成Unova，来自拉丁语的Unum（一）和Novus（新），中名就取自「合众为一」之意，两名就保存了日名的原意，另外这些译名已经都得经过日方同意了。神智の超龍「對話」 09:47, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

虽然汉化比较快，但是日方没有正式授权的，只有官方（群英社、青文出版集团、吉美出版社等）所有的译名就可以接受的，因为是己经经过了日方同意，这个已经说过了，还有英文百科不管什么名称是公认的，或比较好听的，而是管官方所有的译名（不管官译是好或坏，官译就是官译）。

关于初学者神奇宝贝（和它们的进化型）的译名，只有暖暖猪是官译，已经在Tepig的题目了，草蛇和水獭的官译就是藤藤蛇和水水獭（官方就喜欢叠字...），其它的还未知。（您可以在官方网站看看）。

Preview

I don't think you've done it yet, but a lot of new users tend to make too many edits by not pressing the preview button before saving the page, fixing it, fixing it again, and then fixing it again, which strains the server. Just press the button that says "Show preview" after editing the page instead of saving it, and if the result is what you intended, save it. This would make that above experiment unneeded. --Bee § Bwakka 22:51, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
