When making articles on cards, try to use the {{e}}
template for energy symbols. Just put {{e|Whatever}} for the energy you want. It defaults to Colorless, but it works for all the rest: {{e|Metal}} makes . It saves some typing time. TTEchidna 04:32, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ah! Thank you! A simpler way :D Will be using it :D Arri 04:39, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yep. I don't see why it wasn't made until recently, what with all of the rest of the single-letter link templates. TTEchidna 04:51, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Opening lines
They should technically be written as they are in the Charmander δ article: '''Charmander δ''' (Japanese: '''ヒトカゲδ''' ''Hitokage δ'') is a {{TCG|Lightning}}-type basic Pokémon card. It is part of the {{TCG|POP Series 5}} set, making it appear like so: Charmander δ (Japanese: ヒトカゲδ Hitokage δ) is a Lightning-type basic Pokémon card. It is part of the POP Series 5 set.
Also, the jname and jtrans parts of the card infobox template are for the actual kana and the romaji, respectively. In jname, you would put ミズゴロウ, while in jtrans you would put Mizugorou for a Mudkip card. TTEchidna 19:11, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
...and don't forget. It's Colorless, Darkness, and Metal, not Normal, Dark, and Steel. TTEchidna 19:19, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Remember, Darkness, not Dark. It may have the same icon whether you have "Dark" or "Darkness" in the
{{e}}
template, but I'm seeking to eliminate that soon; the energy is properly known as Darkness and always has been. Also, don't just put{{e}}
, because that doesn't have the alternate text. Use{{e|Colorless}}
. TTEchidna 02:51, 28 October 2007 (UTC) - Plus, if you put Dark instead of Darkness, you end up linking to a THEME DECK. TTEchidna 03:00, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
Card Pictures
We sure could use your help in creating scans for Project TCGDex articles that don't yet have scans. Politoed666 came up with the idea to have a list of card articles without scans. People with scanning capabilities can then use this list to find a card article without a scan, then scan the image into the Archives and add it to the article. On all but three articles in the list, the "Image" field is currently blank, making for even greater flexibility in image naming.
If you're interested, you can scan the images and upload them similar to how you did it for Goldeen, the first article to get removed from the list upon its article getting a scan. Then remove that card's entry from The List. And feel free to refer The List to other people whom you think can also help with the project.
If none of this interests you, please disregard this message without a second thought. --Shiningpikablu252 03:08, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Interesting! I was wondering If there was a scan list and now there is!:D Will help scan. Arri 03:38, 21 September 2007 (UTC)Arri
Cards
We're in the middle of some important decision-making involving the card project. I must ask you to refrain from adding to the card-related articles for now. It is important that we are able to decide on the card matters without having the article movement go unattended. -Happy Mask Man 03:36, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
