Pokémon can have unique interactions exclusive to their species under certain conditions, typically dependant on the player's current location. Historically, these interactions most notably occur with Walking Pokémon, but also been shown to occur in other scenarios such as with Wild Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

| Pewter City | In the Pewter City Pokémon Center, a Jigglypuff will sing a lullaby when interacted with. Pikachu will then remain motionless and cannot be moved in the party, have items used on it or deposited in the PC until it is interacted with. The player will also be unable to enter the Cable Club and if the player attempts to heal their party, the center's nurse will instead comment on its status. If Pikachu is interacted with afterwards, an animation will be shown of it awakening. | |||
| Sea Cottage | During the player's initial visit to the Sea Cottage, when Pikachu is interacted with before the Cell Seperation System is ran, Pikachu will appear confused. After Bill transforms into a human, Pikachu will appear shocked. | |||

Wild Pokémon will not demonstrate any interactions if they are Shiny.
