The Spring Showers Statue, with options to remove it or rotate it available

Decorations in Pokémon Quest are used to decorate the base camp and to provide additional effects. Most decorations are bought at the Poké Mart, though the Chamber of Legends statues are instead obtained through completing the last stage of each area of Tumblecube Island. Regardless of method, all owned decorations are viewable in the Poké Mart, where their effect can be checked. A decoration's effect is activated upon acquisition, without the need to be placed in the camp. Decorations are not interacted with by Pokémon. Tapping on them has no effect. Many of them have light animations.

Placing decorations

Decorations can be placed in the camp by selecting "Decorations" at the left edge of the screen, selecting a decoration from the list, then selecting a spot to place it, indicated by a glowing blue outline. The camp has preset spots for decorations based on their size: 14 for small decorations, 4 for large decorations, and 3 for arches. To remove or rotate a placed decoration, it must be selected from the list in the same way, at which point the camera will zoom to that decoration and two buttons will appear beneath it. When a decoration is placed, it drops down from the sky. Removing a decoration is similar, lifting it back up and off the screen. Trying to place a decoration in an already occupied space causes the first to be removed. When a decoration has been placed, it has a green mark in the decoration list, and cannot be placed again until it is removed. Rotating a decoration causes it to shrink down, then rotate in place, before springing back to normal size. (This means the decorations of larger rectangular shapes do not leave their bounding box when rotating. However, the arches do indeed take up some extra space while rotating.)

The center of the camp, with blue squares showing the available locations for a Vaporeon Cusheon

Small decorations take up the same amount of space as a cooking pot, having a square footprint. There are 14 spaces available: one on the western border, two on the southern shore, two on the eastern shore, one on the southeast corner, one on the southwest corner, one in each of the corners between the spaces for a cooking pot (four total), one in the center of the spaces for the cooking pots, one on the small landmass near the eastern shore, and two on the square landmass off the southern shore. These can be rotated to face any one of four directions.

Southeast of the camp, with blue rectangles showing the available locations for a Mechanical Tauros

Some decorations are rectangular and rather large. There are only four spots for them: two on the southern shore and two on the western border. They can be rotated to face in one of two directions, 180 degrees apart.

The wide island off the south coast, where a Mewtwo Arch is being rotated. Just how does it float?

Arches are rectangular, and even longer than the other large decorations. They can be placed in one of three spots: near the boat, by the entrance to the camp from the forest, or on the longest landmass in the water to the south.
