Top Speed (Japanese: めざせベストタイム！ Aim For Your Best Time!) was a time trial event in Pokémon Masters EX.
During this event, players could challenge a battle that had a timer to try to achieve the fastest possible time. They would receive a grade based on how quickly the battle was completed, and each grade awarded a different number of points. Players could earn various rewards based on the total number of points accumulated.
Event missions could be completed by clearing the battles in a certain amount of time, as well as clearing the battles quickly while using sync pairs with certain theme skills. Completing these awarded players with Gems and Skill Spheres. Initially, only a few missions were made available; additional missions were added over the first five days of the event.
Unlike other time trial events, there were no bonuses to stats or points. In addition, there were no battle areas with limited daily attempts; players could take on the Speed Challenge as many times as they wanted per day.
First run
This event first ran from June 6 to 13, 2022.
Players could earn unique rewards by reaching certain thresholds of points earned from the Speed Challenge, including but not limited to Gems, Co-op Sync Orbs, 5★ Scout Tickets, and a Strike Move Candy Coin. The last unique reward of 200 Gems could be received after earning 20,000 total points. Certain event missions required the player to use sync pairs with specific 
region, 
Trainer group, or 
other theme skills.
Second run
The event reran from May 10 to June 2, 2023.
Several changes to the event were made since the first run. The opponents of the Speed Challenge were replaced by island kahunas, and their partner Pokémon had different weaknesses than those of the first run. The grading system of the time trial was changed, with higher ranks requiring the battle to be completed in less time. Additionally, the points earned for achieving higher ranks was increased. Players could no longer earn a Strike Move Candy Coin for earning points, and the last unique reward could now be received after earning 15,000 points. The total number of event missions was increased from 17 to 23, and the theme skills required to complete certain missions was reduced to only include 
type theme skills.
Third run
The event reran again from December 4 to 18, 2023. It ran alongside reruns of the villain events Investigate the Foundation and People Protecting Pokémon. Everything was the same as the previous run, except Mission 2 was changed to award 50 Gems instead of 100.
Fourth run
The event reran again from October 7 to 21, 2024. Everything was the same as the previous run, except only 11 missions needed to be completed to receive the bonus Gems instead of 12.
