The existing link template doesn't work when it is used like "{{status|sleep}}" because all the section headers are capitalized, meaning users have to do "{{status|Sleep|sleep}}", basically defeating the benefit of using this template. Adding the ucfirst magic word helps avoid this. — Laoris (Blah) 05:32, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
