Map width

Is there any way to force the map's image width depend on the region pictured? I mean, Hoenn's is 257px, Sevii and Kanto are 192px each, Johto and GSC Kanto are 176px each, and Johto and GSC Kanto combined is 352px. So it differs for each one, and it'd look better with the full map there, I think. Tom Temprotran 07:04, 25 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

This is definitely possible. I'll work on some coding to fix this issue. --TMF T - C 08:19, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Then again, the width of the map already depends on the region pictured. --TMF T - C 08:47, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Problems with the update

The new changes to this template are providing many problems. Some articles can't fit all the proper connecting locations info like Route 36, Route 205, and Route 211 just to name some. This needs to be fixed. --HoennMaster 06:55, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Check Route 36 now. Has that fixed it? —darklordtrom 07:07, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Trom, you got the concept right, but that's north.--Clarky13 07:20, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I wanted to doublecheck it all before I did the others. I'll get to them now. —darklordtrom 07:22, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, this was my fault, I had looked for all the Routes like this, but I could see none.--Clarky13 07:26, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK, this is just great. Now pages like Route 1 are displaying stuff such as "Viridian City and [[{{{north2}}}|{{{north2}}}]]" in their navigation! On top of that, absolutely nothing has been done to address routes in the Sevii Islands, such as Kindle Road or Resort Gorgeous, leaving quite a lot broken in their infoboxes (and they don't currently even have the new navigation systems enabled)...--Shiningpikablu252 15:24, 16 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
change {{{north2}}} in the #if clause to and the bug is gone --Hanmac

Requesting a roundy change.

Yeah, Chrome isn't able to use it, so that's why I suggest to change it, here's the template already fixed. Masatoshi: Gen. II>All. Discuss. 23:05, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Actually, this template is a getting a redesign here, so we're waiting for it to be replaced with the new design. Not worth it right now to change it. Jello 23:14, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Go-Goggles

Can we have this added to "required for navigation" (parameter would be named "gogoggles")? --SnorlaxMonster 05:59, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

The .gif extension

Can someone change the extension to png where it says Location? PattyMan 18:01, 13 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I'm leaning towards no. In this case, the animation is highly important to the whole point of the image, and so it should animate in all browsers. Therefore it should use the gif file format. Werdnae (talk) 18:41, 13 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Other location images

Since there are the imageI, imageII, and imageIII parsers, is there any way to incorporate images from within the same gneeration to the template? So, differences between RS and E, or GS and C for instance. In other words, new parsers maybe? ht14 22:12, 9 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Required for navigation

The items that appear in this category are cut off an not organized very well. I have a solution but cannot edit the page... and details are a little too complicated to put here... --Dragon37 (talk) 07:13, 2 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

It's a browser issue. They're fine in Firefox but horribly broken in Chrome. --SnorlaxMonster 08:25, 2 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
As an alternative, can we have the images in this section link to their respective move/item? (For example: [[File:Bag HM Water Sprite.png|Surf|link=Surf (move)]]) This way, if the labels fail to load, it can still be determined what the images are referring to. – Chosen of Mana 18:57, 5 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Kalos Route names

Shouldn't we have a place for the Kalos Route names to be placed? ----samm :D 20:57, 26 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Route name placeholders

They should be removed and the template updated to allow the editor to input them accordingly. That way, we can add kanji to the Japanese names, for example. SatoMew 22:44, 14 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Generation subtemplate

It needs a parameter that hides irrelevant generations. See Underground Path (Routes 7-8) as an example; there's no Generation II map so having nothing is pointless, even if there's placeholder text. SatoMew 22:47, 14 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Slogans

Could someone please add an optional parameter to this template that allows for the inclusion of the slogans featured in Sun and Moon? Something similar to what is used in Template:Town infobox would suffice. I would do it myself, but I lack the necessary permissions. — Dannyboy601 (talk) 10:49, 29 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Gen IV HGSS for Kanto Maps

Many Kanto routes don't display the Gen IV maps in the "Other generation maps" section since the release of Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee, I think because they need this template to accommodate them.

Most of the route pages seem to have stuck the HGSS route into the "Differences among generations" section, but that seems inconsistent compared to how Gens 1-3 are handled.

Would it make sense to stack the Other generation maps as a 2x2 rather than a 1x4? Hawthornen (talk) 15:52, 8 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
