'Variations of Waterfall'

How is it related Waterfall, or any of the other attacks in that box? Poison Jab poisons, not flinches, so they can't be in the same category. Pallukun (talk) 23:48, 2 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

The important thing is that it inflicts status of some sort, and not necessarily the same status. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 00:26, 3 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
Then should the vast majority of attacks be in that list? A whole bunch of moves cause status ailments. It just seems like an entirely moot thing to note, considering that's just how most attacks work. They aren't thematically similar either, so why bother at all? Moves are considered variations when they have the same base power and similar PP and aditional effects. Take a look at this page. --Suic (talk) 02:10, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
A lot of those are really stretching the definition of variations but I'm not going to fight it any more Pallukun (talk) 18:53, 5 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
