When did AZ fueled it?

The machine was originally made for resurrection, called "The Device That Grants Life" by Team Flare; only when it's been weaponized that it's called the "ultimate weapon." -> By this logic, we can logically assume that it had already been fueled when it's still a revival machine, thus the sentence in the Abilities section. ("Before being turned into a weapon, the unnamed machine would use the energy of other Pokémon to resurrect the deceased, granting them eternal life in the process")
However, when I was gathering references, I noticed that the NPCs (specifically Celosia and AZ himself) only seem to say that the machine was only fueled before it fired. If that's the case, did the original machine require nothing beyond the basics to revive lives, just like how the scientists are able to restore Fossil Pokemon? --Fawfaw (talk) 23:54, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

I believe Steven’s father mentions this in ORAS on the ultimate weapon and what was used. Jacob9594 (talk) 00:54, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
I think it was just build to take life at first. But when he powered it up with the legendary pokémon, that is when it became a weapon and changed to that. Jacob9594 (talk) 02:16, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
During the Delta Episode, Mr. Stone also said that the weaponized machine was fueled using Pokemon life energy. He just added that Devon Corp calls it Infinity Energy and explained how they harness it.
Regarding the reason for the original machine's creation, AZ himself explained in the cutscene that "the man built a machine to give it life", but later "he turned the machine into the ultimate weapon" (you can rewatch it here or check the script on AZ's quotes). Unfortunately, the cutscene doesn't mention when or what powered the it. --Fawfaw (talk) 03:12, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Maybe quotes from ZA could help answer that? Jacob9594 (talk) 04:12, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
I think AZ fueled it after he received his deceased Floette back. That is when he first created the machine. Jacob9594 (talk) 04:14, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps. From the quotes, it seems he only fueled it after weaponizing it. That's what I was wondering, whether a special requirement is needed for the machine to revive a being. --Fawfaw (talk) 04:57, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
It doesn't have one I believe. It just required the life-force taken from other Pokémon to fuel the machine in order revive the dead. Jacob9594 (talk) 05:29, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Sorry but your sentences seem to conflict themselves. You believe it doesn't have a special requirement, but then you said "the life-force taken from other Pokémon to fuel the machine" -> That IS a special requirement.
UPDATE: I just saw Lysandre Labs' File 2 in PLZA, and it confirms that the original machine also requires Pokémon life force to revive a being. Does this mean that AZ actually took Pokémon life force twice??? --Fawfaw (talk) 06:02, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
First to revive Floette and then to kill both armies to end war. Would that count as the twice thing? Jacob9594 (talk) 14:13, 29 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
