Unreleased info

Hi, information from the recent leaks, even if it's just a name, should not be added. To be particular, I am referring to Blaziken beta being called Eruhōku. There is no other source besides the leak that has this information. Ergo it should be removed at once. Thanks. AdilTalk page 13:58, 14 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Tooltips

Hi, we're actually trying to avoid using tooltips wherever possible (such as your edits to Dialga, Azelf etc), as they do not work properly on mobile. Instead of (Japanese: ()(しき)(かみ) God of Knowledge), how about (Japanese: ()(しき)(かみ) Chishiki no Kami, transl. God of Knowledge). Feel free to suggest if you have any other ideas on how to display this. → SuperPikaPool13 15:16, 20 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the message. I'm actually not a fan of tooltips either for the same reason. I only used them because I saw them a lot here, so I thought they were your preference. Now that I know that, if it's all right, I'll change them to the format similar to this: (Japanese: ()(しき)(かみ) Chishiki no Kami, "God of Knowledge"). --Fawfaw (talk) 15:37, 20 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, that looks better, go for it. → SuperPikaPool13 17:50, 20 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Signature Pokémon

Please note that "signature Pokémon" is not considered inappropriate as a descriptor to explain the trend of characters having key Pokémon associated with them, even if there is no official term for it. Landfish7 13:30, 10 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

I wasn't paying attention to the notification, so sorry if I didn't stop when you expected me to.
That said, I think there still is a minor problem. For instance, stating that Rhyperior and Probopass are the signature Pokemon of Giovanni and Roxanne isn't really appropriate, as those Pokémon didn't exist back then. Furthermore, excluding B2W2, Bugsy is more associated with Scyther than Scizor (similar to how Brock is with Onix); he doesn't even use Scizor in Stadium 2. Additionally, the changes I made were actually copied from the Kanto Leaders Tournament page, where it's only neutrally stated that "(Name) always leads with (Pkm)". Thus, I think we should avoid labeling them all as signature Pokémon—at least in the World Tournament section. --Fawfaw (talk) 14:06, 10 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
I think that's probably fine for the World Tournament pages. As for the others, I agree that there's likely some Pokémon labeled as "signature" that'll need to be reassessed. Landfish7 14:17, 10 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
