Spores attached to eggs?
I know I've seen most of the information here before (seems to be drawn from various Paras/Parasect Pokédex entries), but where does the bit about the mushroom growing on Paras eggs and dousing the newborn bugs with the spores come from? I mean, it sounds like it could logically work (you never see a Paras without the 'shrooms, after all), but I have to wonder if it's fan-speculation of some sort rather than official info, since everything else on the page sounds so familiar to me but that one line stands out from the rest. - Parasect's Pokedex entries. "When nothing's left to extract from the bug, the mushrooms on its back leave spores on the bug's egg." Ataro (talk) 00:40, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
Odd page
It feels a bit arbitrary that there's a dedicated page for this, considering everything about it could be covered under the Paras/Parasect pages. The mushrooms in question don't appear outside the context of that evolutionary line. Similarly, there's a page for the Scalchop and Seamitar, which raises the question whether other Pokémon body-related items should also have their own pages.
For example, Clamperl's pearl is detachable and can be given to Spoink. Then there's Meowth's koban coin, Togetic's "joy dust," and Probopass's Mini-Noses. Marowak's bone is already treated as a separate item and does warrant its own page. In some cases, like Tochukaso, it makes sense when the item has a distinct name or is described as a separate species. But again, its existence is still confined to the Paras line.
Maybe these kinds of details could be grouped into a more general "Pokémon-associated objects" page. That way, they're not scattered across the wiki as disconnected and potentially overlooked articles. I might try drafting something myself when I have time. I'll leave the idea here in case anyone wants to build on it or give feedback.
