Contradictory info

The information about the Spite attack is contradictory.

In this article in the short description it says Spite cuts 4 PP whereas in the detailed description it is "a random number between 1 and 5". On the page about Ghost-type Spite is said to cut "up to 4 PP". In the LeafGreen game it is said that Spite cuts 2 to 5 PP.

Shouldn't we correct this information? --Pokeresp 21:57, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

No, Before Generation III, it cut 1-5. Starting in IV, it was set to 4 PP cut--KukiTalk 22:36, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, I can't check it right now. But, IMHO, the effects of all generations should be described then. --Pokeresp 10:26, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

The pictures that are used in the moves, must be the User who took the picture, or It can be from the internet? Because I found a picture of Spite in X and Y.

They have to be taken by the user (via a capturing device). Stealing is not allowed.--ForceFire 16:31, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

UPC suggests that in Gen III only, Spite will always fail if the affected move only has 1 PP left. Is that true? (Bonus, if it is true: Can Spite fail if the remaining PP is less than the random number; or can the random number not be higher than the remaining PP; or can the PP even roll over?) Nescientist (talk) 17:09, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

True, and apparently forced not to be higher than remaining PP (always 2 when 2 remaining). Nescientist (talk) 13:20, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
