Recoil in Colosseum

Having played Colosseum for a while, I have noticed that the recoil does not seem to coincide with the 25% recoil. For example, single-hitting a Dustox from full health caused only single digit damage, suggesting the Dustox had less than 40HP at level 37. This is simply not possible, also, after hardly doing any damage against a Steelix, approximately the same recoil was received. Finally, when I attacked my own to test, I managed to get a Gligar to do 48 damage against a Sneasel, which should have caused 12 recoil. Only 8 recoil was experienced. Therefore, it seems to me as though the recoil is set within a certain range. What do you think? FrozenStrategy 16:29, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Shadow Rush in Emerald

In Emerald, I used a Gameshark to hack Shadow Rush onto my Gengar. In-game, its name is A F, it has a power of 255, no accuracy stat, is of the Normal-type, and its description is a random assortment of characters. Its contest stats list it as a highly appealing move of the Cool type. Can anyone else confirm this? Montybrady (talk) 08:03, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

It does have accuracy stat. -- means it's unaffected by Accuracy or Evasion modifiers. It's PP seems to be an abnormal value, as it's ?3/?3 (ie. a very high value, similar effects can be seen while doing Pomeg glitch). Wouldn't count it as Shadow Rush, though. It's just a bunch of glitched data. Unless someone hacks Shadow Rush on purified Pokémon THEN transfers it to Emerald (or other game)... When I used it at contest, it said "<Pokémon> appealed with Cool Move!" instead of usual "<Pokémon> appealed with <move>!". Its animation looks to be that of Pound. Using it normal battle, however, freezes game. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 10:23, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Hyper Mode crit ratio?

It doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere, what exactly is the critical hit ratio for Shadow Rush when used in Hyper Mode? My anecdata says "nearly 100%", but something that's appropriate for the main page might be helpful. --billybobfred (It's all just wild mass guessing anyway.) 03:28, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Animated PNGs

Is there any particular reason we don't use animations from 3D games for the "In other generations" section? I think it would be more effective. Would it make the page too hard to load? TeridaxXD001 (talk) 04:31, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, they're too large. For example, File:Shadow Rush.png at the top of the page is 50% larger than the upload filesize limit for normal users. So it's unnecessarily large, especially since the resolution is compromised in exchange for animation. --Abcboy (talk) 04:37, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
Since the thumbnails aren't animated, would that matter in terms of page load? TeridaxXD001 (talk) 04:43, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
