Keep - I suggest keeping this page as a list of Pichu variants as opposed to general information about Pichu, like the Pikachu variants page.

If this page is deleted, let's please at least update Variant Pokémon#Pichu with enough information and images about the Pichu variants. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 19:14, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

Needing to navigate to a different page to find this content is not a good reader experience, so yes I'd prefer we include this information on both the Variant Pokémon and species page rather than on a separate page. Landfish7 19:32, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

About the Pichu (Pokémon) page:

• I suppose most of the information about Pichu variants is already there, such as the fact that some Pichu have a hair tuft (I added this now as trivia), the Spiky-eared and Ukulele Pichu exist, there are Pokémon GO costumes, and so on. If that helps, I also added a note in Pichu (Pokémon)#In events to explain the Pikachu-colored Pichu better. But the Pichu page currently lacks the list of Smash Bros palette swaps, pointing to Pichu (Super Smash Bros.) instead. I suppose it does not have information about the TCG card variation Pichu δ (EX Holon Phantoms 76) on purpose, because it's listed on Pichu (TCG) instead. So it's not like 100% of content from Pichu variants is currently on the main Pichu page. Most of the page is about regular Pichu and it basically requires reading everything to find all the variants that may be in different media sections, so I suggest keeping Pichu variants since that page focuses solely on the variants. (Alternatively, we might talk about creating a "Variants" section on the main Pichu page but I'm not sure if that would work well. I'm afraid this might repeat some content from elsewhere on the same page.)

About the Variant Pokémon#Pichu section:

• I created that section yesterday. It currently contains a small summary and pictures about the Pichu variants, pointing to the Pichu variants as the main page with more details and pictures, including how they appear in different media. If we delete the "Pichu variants" page, should we keep just that short summary in the "Variant Pokémon#Pichu" section, or should we basically expand it with some of those additional details? I'm afraid having too many detailed information about cross media appearances of variant Pokémon on the "Variant Pokémon" page might make it too long, which may not be the best user experience, but maybe that's just me. (Personally, I used to have some slow notebooks that struggled to load some long Bulbapedia pages, but they load fine on my current computer.)

In any case, I suppose we are keeping a page like Pikachu variants because there are too many Pikachu variants? Currently, the main Pikachu page seems to mention basically all Pikachu variants over multiple media sections, but the section Variant Pokémon#Pikachu basically says nothing and just points to the Pikachu variants page. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 22:08, 14 March 2026 (UTC)
