Is it correct that both Wurmple were caught in the Woods? Isn't Brock's Lotad even caught there in this case? ×Impoleon xy× 15:52, 31 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Petalburg Woods in anime series

I have big issue with this article regarding anime. Neither Japanese version, nor the dub mentions Petalburg Forest (Touka no Mori) in any other episode than AG004. AG007's Japanese title mentions Kimori no Mori (Treecko's Forrest), but I doubt that's meant to be official name for that location. No other episode between AG005 and AG008 gives any name to the location they are taking place at in either version.

So, I think this article should be reworked to only mention events and Pokémon in AG004. And AG009's article should also remove the mention of Petalburg Woods and link to this article. Horn (talk) 11:21, 9 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hadn't realised that it was only explicitly mentioned to be Petalburg Forest in AG004. Had a check of the dub episodes and yeah seems like that's the case, referring to it as 'the forest' when it's mentioned later by the narrator and 'the woods' in the blurb of AG007 and by Ash in AG009. Also checked the episode summaries on TV Tokyo and seems no explicit mention there either. Though it does mention 'passed through the long forest and reached the city for the first time' (machine translated) in AG009. For me that indicates they've been in the same large forest. And also the background the gang walk through always appears to be a forest too (albeit with some clearings), so for me we're never given an indication that it's not the same forest as in AG004. I personally don't think there's enough reason to change the mentions of it, but I think working something into the Petalburg Woods page saying that it's only explicitly mentioned in AG004 but strongly implied to be so in the other episodes might help clarify things somewhat.
