Oh wow... This page was sooooo needed. --ケンジ ガール 04:45, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah. Just think of all the Pokéfans that cry themselves to sleep knowing Paul's beloved Gliscor had no article....Binks 04:50, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Why are you people being so sarcastic? Netto-kun Talk 12:13, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Deletion

Should we have this page right now? Gliscor only appeared in one episode and we don't have enough information on it. JmathTalk 18:24, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Oh No. Here we go again with the "only in one episode" topic. There are MANY articles about Pokémon that have only appeared in one episode, whether there is enough information or not.PokeManiac102 18:27, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
I meant remove it for now, not permanently. Just redirect it to Paul's page like the others. JmathTalk 18:37, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Personally, I feel this should not have been so hastily made into an article. For one thing, it's baseless speculation for now that Ash's Gligar will evolve into a Gliscor and have an epic battle with Paul's. Another thing is that Paul is a secondary character, not a primary character like Ash, Misty, Brock, Jessie, James, May, Tracey or Dawn. Those characters can get away with having an article about a minor Pokémon they had, since they've appeared in a majority of the episodes. Paul, on the other hand, is the equivalent of Gary. I don't see a page for every single one of Gary's Pokémon. The only pages we have for Gary's Pokémon are ones that are considered important (ie, Blastoise, his starter; Arcanine, one of the first Pokémon he was shown to have and one of the more prominent ones with at least three different appearances that I can think of; and Umbreon and Nidoqueen, both of which have been prominent in more than one appearance; however, I still feel that Gary's Dodrio and Electivire are completely unnecessary, but that's another argument).
Do you see what I mean? Secondary characters such as Paul, Drew, Harley, Zoey, Kenny and Gary do not need an article about every single Pokémon they own. This article is included. --PAK Man Talk 18:47, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Not sure if this is the right place to discuss this. But I like the idea that we fix the Character's Article and put each Pokemon they have separate and put a small description about them, that way they don't get an article. Only of course if it's a big deal that they have a whole article deticated to themselves. If no one really cares though if the Pokemon does have their own article or not, then it's fine the way it is. --Dman dustin 06:23, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

As a matter of fact, if there WAS an arcticle for every one of Gary's pokémon, there would be 200+ articles starting with "Gary's" and several about the same species. - unsigned comment from Sk8torchic (talkcontribs)

We wouldn't do that. We have the Ash's Tauros article. There are 30 of them but they all share the same article... Also sign your comments with the four tildes ~~~~ --ケンジガール 20:55, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

I'm starting think it's time to delete this article. As the article says, it hasn't appeared since Aiding The Enemy, and with Ash's Gliscor gone, I doubt we'll ever see Paul's again. This article should suffer the same fate that Weavile's did. Rath

Wait until DP163. Paul will reappear in there, meaning there is still a chance it'll appear. If it doesn't appear there, then I'll agree that it should be deleted. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 23:48, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
DP163 aired, and Gliscor didn't appear --Master Lucario 22:31, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Night Slash or Knock Off

People who speak Japanese have said it was Knock off not Night Slash, so if someone who does speak Japanese (not someone who is just judging the attack by appearance) could you please re-watch the scene and tell if it was Knock Off or Night Slash, and also if it's possible to put the Japanese words of both Knock Off and Night Slash and put what Paul told Gliscor to do, to make sure there is no confusion. There is also some confusion with Metal Claw and Guillotine --Dman dustin 14:23, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

It was definately Guillotine, not Metal Claw (The word "guillotine" is clearly audible). - Cassius335 14:28, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Well in that case does Paul's Gliscor even know Metal Claw? --Dman dustin 14:32, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

It knows Knock Off and Guillotine. I listened. --ケンジガール 18:54, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Marc Thompson

Alright. How many of you see Marc Thompson in the credits for Riding the Winds of Change? Because I see him, Livinlarge18 appearently saw him but Shift doesn't. Anyone else saw his name in the credits? --ケンジガール 17:28, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

There's no denying it Marc Thompson did Paul's Gliscor it sure wasn't Bill Rogers it sounded nothing like him Livinlarge18 13:57, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Turns out there was an error in the credits on the first airing. Marc Thompson wasn't in the credits in the future airings. --ケンジガール 22:42, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Okay so then um I betting Bill Rogers did Gliscor it doesn't sound like Jimmy Zoppi or any other voice actor credited also they screwed up and didn't have Emily Williams in the credits. Livinlarge18 13:49, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

New picture, please!

Can someone find a better picture of Gliscor? We've seen another episode of Gliscor and I've got a new pic of him. I don't know how to put it on the site, however, so could someone submit it? Paul'sDialga (John 13:29, 25 October 2008 (UTC))

Ability

I THINK its abilty is Sand Veil, because when Ash's Gligar used Sand Attack, it didn't seem phased by it, like it just staredand smiled. But like I said I THINK thats its ability, what do you guys think? Happizelpom 00:58, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Sadly, 'think' isn't good enough. Ability is like Gender when it comes to an anime Pokémon; it needs to be explicitly stated... but personally, I would agree. Watchermark 15:47, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Being immune to a Sand Attack has nothing to do with Sand Veil. Sand Veil raises evasiveness in a sandstorm. If anything, it would have to do with Gliscor being part Flying and Sand Attack being a Ground attack, though I'm not sure if status moves count or not. --ケンジガール 22:27, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
They do for the likes of Thunder Wave vs. Dugtrio. —darklordtrom 23:45, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Sand-Attack is a move that's not affected by type matchups. It's the same whether you use it on an Electric-type or a Flying-type. Many status moves are not affected by type matchups; such moves from the first two generations can be clearly listed by looking through the entries in Stadium 2's Library. --Shiningpikablu252 00:50, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Noteabillaty?

It appeared 3 times if I'm correct, one in wich it hardely moved, Yet Weevile is not note worthy, with all do respect I think even Drapion and Agrron are more noteable than Gliscor Lanturn....05308 14:21, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Agreed. With only three appearances under its belt (one of which was a quick cameo) I definitly feel that's this article is a candidate for deletion. It's made less appearances than Weavile and the only thing that seems to be notable about it is that we saw how it was captured. Watchermark 17:15, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Ya I agree this article should not exist because Gliscor is no more important then Weavile or Paul's other pokemon that don't have a page.RBK 06:06, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I think this should be deleted, it really is not noteworthy. To be honest, I don't think the page for his Drapion is needed either, even if it did sweep half of Ash's team. I'll go suggest that soon on the talkpage for the above article, if thew aren't already. -I Liek Gengarz! Do Joo Liek Dem? 18:35, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Paul's Gliscor had more appearances than that Pokemon has its own page as Janovy Trip that owns and Falkner's Pidgeot. Furthermore he is the Pokemon of the day with the Ash's Gligar episode in his capture and an important part of the process that raised the evolution of Gligar. Leave the page alone.Hikaru Wazana 06:06, 12 February 2011

First of all Best Wishes has just started so don't compare it to this. Second, Gliscor stopped appearing and hasn't really done anything Ataro 23:26, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
But whether or not it's done anything recently isn't a factor in notability. Otherwise, James's Weezing and Jessie's Arbok would've been deleted long ago, wouldn't they have? I'm with Hikaru Wazana on this. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 23:29, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Since I brought this up last August, I have changed my mind, Gliscor earns its page for being so iconic and important to the character development of Ash's Gligar Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308
You're not seriously comparing Paul's Gliscor to Jessie's Arbok and James's Weezing, are you Missingno. Master? They are not even in the same class. Arbok and Weezing belonged to main characters and appeared in many episodes. How many did Paul's Gliscor appear in, like three? It's not about whether it did anything recently but what it did during its appearances. Gliscor... really hasn't done that much. Do we even know if Paul still has it?
And to Hikaru Wazana, Janovy is Trip's main Pokémon, therefor it is allowed to have it's own article. I can guarantee you that it will have far more appearances than Gliscor ever did.
But right now, we are deciding on what Pokémon should keep articles and what Pokémon should be redirected. Nobody's moving right now. --ケンジガール 00:12, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
This article has nothing that can't already be said in Paul's page. J-J-M 00:21, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

The other Paul's Pokemon that have their own page will go through it too?.Hikaru Wazana 07:06, 12 February 2011
