Talk:Icy Wind (move)
- That is the levels that Icy Wind is learned. "--" means it is a base move (known from level 1). The separation "--, 11" means that in the earlier games of that Gen, the level at which the Pokémon learned the move was "--", while the second number is later games in that Gen. Icy Wind didn't cover the whole Totem Raticate.
I was finally playing Ultra Moon & I used Icy Wind, and the animation covered Ratatta in ice, but not the totem Raticate. I don't know if it applies to all totems, or all moves, but should I mention it as trivia somewhere? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 18:52, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- Do you mean that Totem Raticate's model is large enough that it was not fully within the animation's boundaries? I would theoretically think that would apply to many Pokemon with large models. I would be hesitant to mention it anywhere until a list can be compiled of exactly which models don't fit (and which moves' animations this applies to; I doubt it's exclusive to Icy Wind). - It doesn't have to be on this page more than it already is. Kirlia learns the move by move tutor (stated). Kirlia evolves to Gallade. Gallade ends up knowing the move. Gallade never learns Icy Wind, it just can have the move from a prior evolution. This is really common, and doesn't need to be explicitly said in move pages.
