Softboiled isn't affected? --Zeta 01:05, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

I'd assume every healing/recover-like move is. Wish isn't listed either... The article didn't even have its damage category listed until today, so I'd definitely say the list is probably incomplete. --TTEchidna 01:49, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Little Change

I put some more moves. I know Rest is blocked because Giratina use Heal Block on my Uxie and it couldn't use Rest. - unsigned comment from Editor Sam (talkcontribs)

Heal Block and Items

Does Heal Block block healing items' effects or use? For example, say my Shedinja used Heal Block and then the next turn my opponent tries to use a Potion on their Gallade -- will Heal Block block the item (either by stopping the opponent from using it, or by some other means)? I need to test this out . . . -- M. Burusu 07:07, 4 March 2008 (UTC), Monday, 2008-03-03 22:21 UTC

I think it won't allow healing items to be used. TTEchidna 07:19, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Question

Since we're talking about healing, should we have a category that talks about moves that heal HP? ht14 15:28, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

It doesn't heal them, it prevents them, so I think maybe like other "prevention" like moves category. --PsychicRider 15:30, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
I agree, but I'm just talking about a category for Absorb and Milk Drink and etc. ht14 15:32, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
I don't see why not, as long as there are more prevention moves other than Heal Block. --PsychicRider 15:39, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

I've just tested this...

Heal Block doesn't stop you from healing with Ice Body. I Skill Swapped it to a Raichu and it was healing despite Heal Block in hail. TTEchidna 20:28, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

The rest of the party or just the current opponent?

Does it have a Trick Room-like effect, or does it only affect the target, meaning that if I use it on a Bulbasaur, faint it, and they send out a Blissey, the Blissey can't heal? And if I switch out to another Pokémon, can they heal then? TorchicBlaziken (talkedits) 02:19, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

5th Generation

I'm not sure if these were present in 4th generation, or added in 5th generation, but both Shell Bell and Poison Heal are blocked in 5th. I'm not adding it because I'm not sure if they are also blocked in 4th generation. Can someone test this? -ContraMundum 22:18, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Black Sludge

Black Sludge is blocked in Gen VI. Tested with Latios vs Muk holding black sludge. NinjaboyCody (talk) 18:11, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
