Redirect

What do you guys think about making a redirect from Goldengo? The silent h isn't very obvious even if you consider ghouls, moreover we do have Ghastly redirect to Gastly, so common typos are considered. Kikugi (talk) 15:45, 30 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Well i've never seen anyone on the internet misspell Gholdengo yet, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Plus i'm pretty sure "Ghastly" is added as a redirect to "Gastly" because the former is an actual English word; it's to correct some people who might confuse the two (esp since some Gen 1 mons have names that are just regular English words like Ditto, Mew, Electrode, Gloom, Haunter). I was going by the fact that "golden" is also a real English word, even if "goldengo" itself isn't, and golden is the one that pops to mind first, rather than ghoul... But I won't push this any further, maybe I'm the weird one. Kikugi (talk) 02:55, 31 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Body

Gholdengo's body is also inspired by a type of dowsing rod, same as Gimmighoul's antennae are. Should this be mentioned? Agentgreenway (talk) 06:47, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not sure, tbh. like yeah sometimes people use dowsing rods that have branches, but idk how that relates to Gholdengo being bipedal other than that both have "legs". plus Gholdengo is bipedal because, well, it's humanoid. Anzasquiddles (talk) 07:22, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Similarity a coincidence?

Gholdengo looks an awful lot like the golden Sudowoodo from All that Glitters is not Golden. Do you think it could've possibly been inspired by this or is it a coincidence? --CuteShaymin (talk) 07:37, 11 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Other than the color scheme and vaguely similar body shapes, there is nothing connecting the two, no. Ataro (talk) 08:24, 11 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
