Talk:Forest's Curse (move)

Relation to Fire

Let's say I gave Grass to Genesect or something 4x weak to Fire; would that deal 6x or 8x damage? I think it'd be the former, but is there any way to check this? ShadowBlizzard (talk) 03:46, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Just to answer, type modifiers are multiplicative. If three types are 2x weak to a move, the power is multiplied by 8. Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:47, 28 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Name

Looking at the game data, shouldn't this page be at Forest’s Curse rather than Forest's Curse (with a ’ rather than a ')? Seems to be so at least in SWSH and USUM, haven't checked older games. --mecanno-manDiscussion 23:49, 7 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

It's just another (more "complex") way to write an apostrophe, pretty sure that'd be overkill.
Search handles it just fine (Bulbapedia search does, Pokéwiki search doesn't seem to btw), and Farfetch'd is still not at Farfetch’d (even though that other apostrophe was used way back in Generation IV). I think it's fine. Nescientist (talk) 12:29, 8 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Trivium

"If a Dragon/Ice-type Pokémon (such as Kyurem) is affected by Forest's Curse, it becomes weak to 10 types, the most of any possible type combination outside of Inverse Battles."

This seems a bit too "strategy guide"-ish. Should it be removed? Landfish7 17:30, 23 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not in my opinion. The only thing that feels like a how-to is "If a Dragon/Ice-type Pokémon (such as Kyurem)[…]". Not 100% sure that it’s true, however.--Gwen Stacy (talk) 17:41, 23 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
The trivia is fine, in my opinion.--ForceFire 05:33, 24 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ok sounds good. Thanks y'all for your input. Landfish7 05:34, 24 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
What about an affected Bug/Flying-type having the most possible 4x weaknesses with 4? Pikiwyn talk 07:32, 12 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
