Brock's mom
When talking to Ash, Flint says "...Brock's heartbroken mother tried her best to hold things together but sadly she passed away..." but on the page about her it says she wandered away to train pokemon, leaving Brock in charge of his many siblings. Also she appears in HS01. Kulj (talk) 23:59, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, and that's already mentioned in the Trivia sections on both this and Lola's page. What's your question? Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 01:12, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
oh, I should have checked that. I figured it could be used as an error for this episode. Kulj (talk) 01:16, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
Ash's Red Eyes
Um... They're not red. They're a reddish brown. Which is Ash's eye-colour anyway. Me, Hurray! 11:05, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
Thunderbolt
Shouldn't we put that Pikachu learned Thunderbolt in this episode?? If I remember it correctly, he only used it after he was powered up by Brock's dad's machine.RBK (talk) 04:42, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
- It's already on the page, both in the synopsis and under "Major events." Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 05:23, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
Actually it states that Pikachu is revealed to know the move, not that he learns it,RBK (talk) 05:43, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
Number of Brock's siblings
"Flint says that Brock has ten little brothers and sisters when he only has nine" is listed as an English dub-specific error. I heard about this while listening to episode 5 of Michael Haigney's Original Pokéman podcast, but when I checked the original Japanese, Flint/Munō unmistakably says
タケシには10人もの幼い兄弟がおってのう
Takeshi ni wa juu-nin mo no osanai kyoudai ga otte nou
Takeshi has ten younger siblings.
I'm not fluent in Japanese, but my understanding is that mo is simply emphasizing the large number here, which would mean Munō is literally saying that Brock has 10 siblings. If that's the case, this would be an error in the original script that propagated to the dub rather than an error introduced in the dub. Can anyone confirm this interpretation?
