Move in ScarVi

Perhaps I am misunderstanding something so forgive me but, I am confused about the line in the notes that says "Corrosive Gas is the only Move Tutor move introduced in The Isle of Armor to not be learnable by any Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet." because this is, wrong.

The Gastly line, Stunky line, Toxicroak and Salazzle are all in the base Scarlet and Violet games. And Vileplume and Tentacruel were added in the DLC. And they CAN learn it via move Tutor from Isle of Armor. Which means there are pokemon in ScarVi that CAN learn it. They just can't learn it IN ScarVi as there's no way to learn it there. But they could be transferred in with the move. Meaning you could see or use the move outside of Metronome. Not being able to learn the move in Scarlet/Violet is not the same as there being no pokemon capable of learning it.

Perhaps this needs to be reworded? To indicate that while nothing can learn it IN the game, pokemon can bring it in from a past game.

Also if it can be called upon by Metronome then that would suggest that someone in the game CAN learn it. I don't think any moves are programmed into the game that no pokemon in the game can learn/have (like how Metronome could call upon moves that were only learned by pokemon that would later be available in the DLC). • You cannot transfer the move into Scarlet and Violet, as movesets are reset upon depositing. Moves that are a TM in both versions are selectable with the move selection tool in HOME, but Corrosive Gas would not be present in this list due to not being a TM. -- Guiltysparkzz (talk) 00:56, 19 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
