Talk:Base camp (Quest)
Capitalize, apply to all Menu/Locations
This is one of what I'm going to call "Menu/Locations" (really rolls off the tongue). These are locations, but their primary purpose is being a thin veneer for a menu. As such, their name as a menu is substantially more prominent than their name as a location. (In my opinion, this is true even if "base camp" is used in loading screen tips.) As such, this article should use the name of the menu it's associated with, which is the title cased "Base Camp". This should go for "Menu/Locations" in general too. - Menus typically use title case, while our article titles generally are in sentence case. Given this page is (also) about the location, that it is in the locations category, and that the game clearly uses lowercase letters in sentence case (as clearly evidenced by the loading screen tips you mentioned), I believe this should remain at its current title. It's similar to how our article is "New game", even though the predominant usage is "NEW GAME" (as a menu option). Nescientist (talk) 13:35, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
- I agree with Nes here. The current capitalization is fine and accurately addresses the scope of the article, which is about the base camps in Quest as a concept and game mechanic, not just the Base Camp menu. Landfish7 08:40, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
Split proposal
I propose that decorations be split off onto their own page. Supporting this are the number of red links to individual decorations (which certainly don't need their own pages), and the length of the draft I have prepared here. Eragon4 (talk) 21:19, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
