Superior Energy Retrieval was reprinted in the Japanese Triplet Beat subset with new artwork by Studio Bora Inc., and as a hyper rare in the Japanese Clay Burst expansion with artwork by the same artist. Both the Regular and the hyper rare prints were localized in the Paldea Evolved expansion. These prints feature a slight text change to include the phrase up to, in order to give players the option to take fewer than the maximum number of cards.
