Effect
When the Pokémon successfully uses an attack move against an opponent while the weather is sunny, it has a chance of lowering the target's Defense and Sp. Def by one stat rank each. The skill can range from Sunny Hit: Defense ↓ & Sp. Def ↓ 1 to Sunny Hit: Defense ↓ & Sp. Def ↓ 9, with higher numbered skills resulting in a higher chance of activation. Sunny Hit: Defense ↓ & Sp. Def ↓ 9 will always lower the target's Defense and Sp. Def. Currently, only Sunny Hit: Defense ↓ & Sp. Def ↓ 9 is available on scoutable sync pairs. The skill applies to the Pokémon's attack moves, including buddy moves, but not sync moves or max moves.
