Emboar's {{TCG|Pokémon Power|Ability}}, Inferno Fandango, allows one to attach as many {{TCG|Fire Energy|Fire Energies}} to one's Pokémon as one likes. Combined with Reshiram's {{tt|Blue Flare|deals 120 damage while discarding two Fire Energies}}, and {{tt|{{TCG ID|Base Set|Energy Retrieval|81}}|relocates two Basic Energy cards from one's discard pile to one's hand}}, this is a rather good and consistent deck. Lately, it has fallen in popularity, dropping to Tier 1.5 or Tier 2. However, ReshiBoar is still a nice contender.

Before significant tournament results emerged, it was debated whether ReshiBoar or {{TCG|TyRam|TyRam}} was the better deck. TyRam became much more successful because the ability to recycle energy allowed the deck to conserve space, while ReshiBoar had to devote several slots to Energy Retrieval and more Energy cards.
