ReshiBoar is a deck that was one of the first conceived when the HGSS-on Format was introduced. It combines Reshiram from Black and White, and Emboar from Black and White.
The strategy of the deck is to keep attaching Energy with Emboar to consistently deal 120 damage with Reshiram's Blue Flare every turn.
Before significant tournament results emerged, it was debated whether ReshiBoar or TyRam was the better deck. TyRam became much more successful because Typhlosion's innate ability to recycle energy allowed the deck to conserve space, while ReshiBoar had to rely on Energy Retrieval and had to use more Energy cards. Despite being the inferior of the two decks, Masters champion David Cohen used this deck's strategy to win 1st place at the 2011 World Championships. His version of the deck became a promotion World Championships deck: Twinboar.
Strategy
The two main cards in this deck are Reshiram and Emboar. Reshiram is the main attacker, as its Blue Flare attack does 120 damage for ![]()

; however, the player discards 2
Energy upon using it. Emboar's Inferno Fandango Ability lets the player attach as much
Energy as they like to Reshiram to attack again the next turn.Energy Retrieval is a key Item that ensures that the player as the necessary Energy in hand to attach with Emboar.
Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND was also used as a secondary attacker, dealing 150 damage with its Ozone Buster attack for the same amount as Reshiram's Blue Flare with an additional Lightning Energy, but at the cost of discarding all
Energy attached to it, rather than just two. It should also be noted that the player would take an additional Prize card if Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND managed to Knock Out opposing Pokémon, so this was often a worthwhile trade-off.
