| A wing (Japanese: ハネ Feather) is a type of item from the Pokémon games that are used to boost the stats of a Trainer's Pokémon. Although called "wings", they actually look more like single feathers than all-out wings(which conforms better to their original name in Japanese); however, in the animated world of Pokemon, it's not unfeasible that these single-feather looking "wings" could actually be whole wings from some unidentified species of Pokemon. | | A wing (Japanese: ハネ Feather) is a type of item from the Pokémon games. | Although the presence of "real-world" animals in the Pokemon universe is rare at best(see the 3rd movie for a depiction of a "real-world" horse in the carousel of Molly Hale's room...shouldn't it have been a Ponyta or Rapidash or something?), it has so far been unidentified as to which species of Pokemon these wings/feathers are coming from, if any; it's possible that these could be fully-formed and stand-alone items which just happen to *look* like wings/feathers. Either way, this disambiguation has not been decided yet.
