Paldea Challenge

The Paldea Challenge (Japanese: ＶＳ　パルデア VS Paldea) is one of the possible monthly Champion Stadium challenges in Pokémon Masters EX. It was first made available on February 2, 2026.

Like all Champion Stadium challenges, players need to defeat four Elite Four members to challenge the Champion. They can be challenged in any order, but different special parameters are applied to each round. The Elite Four members are Rika, Poppy, Larry, and Hassel, and the Champion is Geeta.

Elite Four Round 1	Use field effects that give your team the upper hand!	Field effects created by both allies and opponents are permanent.
Elite Four Round 2	Make use of special damage reduction to battle opponents with high Sp. Atk!	The allied and opponents' fields of play start the battle with special damage reduction.
Elite Four Round 3	Use status conditions and other conditions against all opponents!	Status conditions and other conditions deal more damage, last longer, and are more likely to take effect.
Elite Four Round 4	Try not to let any of your sync pairs faint!	When a Pokémon faints, Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed fall for all sync pairs on that Pokémon's team.
Champion	Make use of moves with additional effects!	The additional effects of moves used by allies and opponents are more likely to occur.
February 9 to 16, 2026
Elite Four Round 1	Use powerful moves quickly and constantly against all opponents!	The move gauge increases faster for both allies and opponents.
Elite Four Round 2	Use sync moves quickly against all opponents!	At the start of battle, sync move countdowns are reduced by half.
Elite Four Round 3	Use status conditions and other conditions against all opponents!	Status conditions and other conditions deal more damage, last longer, and are more likely to take effect.
Elite Four Round 4	Make use of physical damage reduction to battle opponents with high Attack!	The allied and opponents' fields of play start the battle with physical damage reduction.
Champion	Use physical attack moves against opponents with low Defense!	Physical attack moves are powered up for allies and opponents.

Trainer teams

Most opponents in the Paldea Challenge can use one of three different teams, changing weekly. Poppy and Geeta can use one of four different teams. All three Pokémon on each team share a type weakness, and no opponent has multiple teams with the same type weakness. Music

Each member of the Elite Four has their own unique battle theme, which is a remix of the standard Paldea Elite Four battle theme. Geeta also uses a unique battle theme in her battles.

Trivia

Similar to the core series games, Larry and Hassel wear black gloves when battled in the Paldea Challenge.
- The models of Larry and Hassel used are actually unique models, inaccessible to the player and only visible during their battles in the Paldea Challenge. The only change is the addition of the aforementioned black gloves.
