Layla (Japanese: レイラ Leila) is a character who appeared in Giratina and the Sky Warrior.

In the movies

Layla and her husband Moose were traveling on a train to her great-grandmother's hundredth birthday celebration and wanted to give her a bouquet of Gracideas. On the train, they met up with Ash, Brock, Dawn, Shaymin, Sylvan, Shun, Taka, and Kako. She bonded with Shaymin and witnessed it transform into its Sky Forme when it touched the bouquet of Gracideas for her great-grandmother. Following this, the train was attacked by Zero's Magnemite, Magneton and Magnezone, but Ash, Dawn and Shaymin were able to drive them off.

She later said her goodbyes to Ash, his friends, and Shaymin as they set off on a ferry to the flower garden of Gracidea. Later, Layla met up with them again as the group attended her great-grandmother's birthday party.
