Draft talk:Customisation (TCG Pocket)

Draft update (binder covers)

I've drafted an alternative table for these, which I've put in the binder covers section with a few examples. It uses the in-game icons, splits price and availability into their own columns, and removes the notes. I like the notes, but they appear each time for each themed item, so I think if we were to use something like Apopheniac's draft for showcasing accessories by series, these descriptions would fit really nicely on that page instead, as they could go above each series' table. Open to feedback so please let me know what you think! Cipher (talk) 20:38, 27 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

I don't have too much at stake here, personally I'm unfussed if they're together or not. Either way once they rerun stuff it's gonna be a mess I imagine. I liked the notes primarilly for the icons (since origin of card) and for some of the more detailed covers, but once again I don't mind too terribly much. For what it's worth I've also drafted up Draft:Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket merchandise collections. The things that benefit the most from descriptions are specifically the things that aren't really in a series I found. I also 100% expect these lists to be split off into their own pages as well eventually. --Spriteit (talk) 10:03, 8 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Future plans for accessories

I've been looking at this page again recently, and prior to making any further changes and updating the tables, I wanted to highlight how many of these accessories there currently are, about six months after the app's release:

  • 40 binder covers (roughly 5-6 new per month)
  • 40 display board backdrops (roughly 5-6 new per month)
  • 25 card sleeves (roughly 3-4 new per month)
  • 29 coins (roughly 3-4 new per month)
  • 25 playmats (roughly 3-4 new per month)
  • 37 profile icons (roughly 5-6 new per month)
  • 81 emblems (17 regular, 24 from emblem events, 40 from ranked match seasons) (roughly 22-23 new per month)

With so many of these already available, my main concern long-term is how long and unwieldy this page might become if all of these remain on a single page. I think it's worth considering two alternative options: one, each type of accessory/element having its own page; two, similar accessories/elements being grouped into multiple pages, but not all together. Broadly, these could be:

  • Card showcase/display elements - binder covers and display board backdrops
  • Deck/battle customisation elements - card sleeves, coins, and playmats
  • Player profile elements - profile icons and emblems

You might have other ideas about how we can best list these, so please feel free to share. Feedback and other suggestions are welcomed and encouraged! Cipher (talk) 15:59, 10 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

I think Emblems definitely require a separate page, since every month we're going to get over 22 of them. I also wondered whether to sort the covers, backdrops, sleeves, coins and playmats into sets (kind of like I did on User:NaMroz/TCGPAccessories. Alternatively, that could be a separate page as well. Hi, I hope you don't mind an external opinion. I'm from the Italian wiki, I've been looking at this page for inspiration and ended up creating a single page for each element, I think it's the best option (you can find all pages here). I also like how some of the accessories are grouped by set in User:NaMroz/TCGPAccessories, but they are already grouped in Shop (TCG Pocket), so it would be a repetition to group then again. For the emblems of the ranked season, as they are a lot, we're going to include them in a page dedicated to ranked seasons, pretty much like es:Encuentro clasificatorio from Wikidex.
