Release information

Starting May 15, 2025, this Frienda Pick was available as part of an Atari Campaign at participating Namco arcades across Japan for as long as stocks lasted. Locations had their Pokémon Frienda machines updated to run the campaign from this date, indicated by a graphic on the bottom left of the title screen. This graphic also included a number of how many Frienda Picks could still be claimed.

While playing on updated machines during the promotional period, any Pokémon caught would have a chance of coming with an in-game Stone Slab (Japanese: せきばん). When viewing the results screen after a session, players could view the slab, shaped like a Frienda Pick, and wipe away detritus using the touchscreen. This would reveal either a QR code that could be scanned to unlock a digital Metagross Support Pokémon Ticket in Frienda Circle, or a green-colored slab bearing "あたり", atari, a word often attributed to winning a prize in a lottery. If the latter was revealed, this would trigger a screen to appear for a staff member to verify, upon which they would give away a copy of this Frienda Pick.[1]

Trivia

Origin

This Frienda Pick features Tera Charizard with a Dark-type Tera Jewel. Flamethrower and Tera Blast are both moves that Charizard can learn in the games, the latter via TM.
