This character is original to TCG Pocket, but they seem to be an example of someone who searches for Mew, only for it to disappear or teleport away upon being approached. This is demonstrated by the special illustration rare of Mew ex depicting Mew sitting in the rubble right behind where the Budding Expeditioner is standing.
