Aquiesta Supermarket is a reference to Mercadona, the largest supermarket chain in the Iberian peninsula, It is recognizable by its green color and its logo, which features a shopping cart. Mercadona was founded in the city of Valencia in 1977, where the company’s headquarters are located. This explains why the only Aquiesta Supermarket is in Levincia.

The Spanish name of the place is Mercapletora, emphasizing the Mercadona inspiration.
