Plans for the Future

Well, I am very interested in Pokémon ROM Hacking, its something I love to pass my time with. My current hack is called the "Kanjo Quest" -- It's based from a Fanfic I wrote wayyyy back when in 8th grade =p, but ive hence taken it off my FanFiction.net page, as I found it filled with spelling errors, mistakes, plot holes, etc. I hope to put it back up when it is remastered.

This section explains the (MAIN) characters in The Kanjo Quest Pokémon Saga (the master story is 4 volumes--Amy's adventures in Kanjo, Johto, Kanto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh.(in regards to the character sprites: of course these are not who the characters really are, but they closely resemble them.)

Amy

Age: 10 (at debut)
Home Town: Sage Town

At the age of 10, Amy is anxiously awaiting the arrival of her brother, Mitch, from the Hoenn League. It is revealed that Mitch had in fact beaten the Hoenn Elite Four and became the League Champion for a short time, before he gave up his position to return home.

When Mitch does arrive, he gives Amy her starter Pokémon, a very upbeat and bubbly Skitty.
He apparently caught it in Hoenn, and gave it to Amy because he knew nothing about it, and thought it would be a perfect chance to test Amy on her conviction to be a Pokémon Trainer.

Amy and Carmen have a bitter rivalry, but are often mediated by Mitch, stating that the two should learn to like each other.
Throughout the course of the story, Amy and Carmen come to the shocking realization that they are actually friends and get along, although both are reluctant to admit it.

Like all Trainers, Amy also has a rival. The Mayor of Sage Town's son, Kenny, often tries to one-up Amy on her skills, and the two seem equally matched in terms of battling. As Kenny is Amy's counterpart, his starter Pokémon is a Poochyena, contrasting Amy's Skitty.

With the help and encouragement, Amy has the strength to quest through and eventually become the Champion of the Kanjo Region, but quickly hands the title back, as she wishes to explore more places, such as Johto and Kanto.

Johto Arc

After Amy conquers The Kanjo Tournament, the group (Amy, Mitch and Carmen) all split up and went their seperate ways, (Mitch to Sinnoh, Carmen to Kanto), so Amy was forced to travel alone.

In contrast to Ash, she left all of her team members (save Delcatty) in the storage system.
Amy flew through the Johto League very quickly, getting to the Silver Conference a month in advance. Through her journey, she made many friends that included Whitney and Ritchie.

Interestingly enough, Jamie & Myles (who were the antagonists in the Kanjo Arc) tailed Amy to Johto--all the way to Goldenrod City to be exact, to warn her about Team Rocket and to stay away from them.

Amy made it to the semifinal round of the Silver Conference, but lost to Karen's Houndoom.

Kanto Arc

After her defeat at the Silver Conference, Amy decides to travel to Kanto, to take the Gym Leader's challenge there. Before she leaves, she once again, deposits all of her Pokémon she obtained in Johto (save Bulbasaur this time), in the storage system.

When she arrived, Amy met a determined (not to mention tough) trainer named Sapphire. After a short 2-on-2 match, Amy and Sapphire made a challenge to see who could earn all 8 Kanto badges in 80 days (similar to her challenge she made with Ruby), and the two were officially rivals.

When she traveled to Cerulean City to challenge Misty, Amy came across Carmen under the alias "Aqua Velvet" at the Kanto Grand Festival. They reunited, and Carmen revealed she was temporarily living at the Cerulean Gym.
Carmen boasted about her newfound battling skills, and challenged Amy at the gym, and defeated Amy (much to everyone's suprise). After the battle, Amy asked Carmen if she wanted to travel with her, but Carmen refused. Before leaving Cerulean City, Misty approached amy with a lure and entrusted Amy to deliver it to "someone special".

Although Sapphire gave Amy a run for her money, they both completed the challenge, and met at the Indigo Plateau Conference. They both advanced to the finals.
Amy and Sapphire had a glorious final match, and in a clash from Delcatty's Blizzard and Blaziken's Fire Blast, Delcatty had fainted, crowning Sapphire the winner of the Tournament.

Hoenn Arc

Amy recieved a call from Mitch from Sinnoh right before she was about to enter her semifinal match at the Indigo Plateau Conference. He said, through Professor Rowan, he had arranged an all-expense cruise for Amy to the Hoenn region.

On the boat, Amy placed all of her Pokémon except her Delcatty in the Storage System...or so she thought.
Pichu had popped out if it's Pokéball and hid in Amy's backpack without her knowing, so Amy decided to take Pichu along with her.
After saving Professor Birch from a herd of wild Zigzagoon, Professor Birch offered Amy a starter Pokémon, which Amy picked Torchic.

Kenny is Amy's Rival from the beginning of the story, seemingly from birth. He is the son of the mayor of Sage Town, and he thinks he is better than everyone (which isn't entirely false). He and Amy constantly meet and battle thought Kanjo, but after the Kanjo Regional Tournament, he hasn't been seen or heard from again.
In contrast to Amy recieving a Skitty as her starter, he recieves a Poochyena.

Mitch has a world-renowned reputation for greatness. He has already been crowned Champion in Hoenn and Kanto, but refuses the titles so he can continue his travels. Because of his success, Amy is expected the same from many people. His knowledge of Pokémon is great, so he serves a great purpose in Amy's travels. However, after Amy is through in Kanjo, he seperates from the group and travels to Sinnoh alone. He makes various appearances later on in the story.

Carmen is Mitch's girlfriend. They met while Mitch traveled Kanjo (this was 2 years ago), and they immediately hit it off. She bought a house in Sage Town to wait for Mitch while he traveled Hoenn. When he came back, Carmen joined Amy and Mitch on Amy's journey in hopes of being a Pokémon Coordinator. Without a doubt, she obvious has the most character development, with combined aspects of Misty and May. After Kanjo, she sets off to various regions (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn respectively) to compete in contests.

Lapras "Kuni"

• Lapras has a strong emotional connection to Carmen, and can sense where she's at. "Kuni" often serves as Carmen's transportation. It has tried on several occasions to be captured by Carmen, but Carmen believes it is immoral to catch the almost-extinct Pokémon.

Temporary

Kyogre

• Carmen stole the Master Ball from Archie at Team Aqua's Base and caught Kyogre with it, to prevent Archie from harming it. She later came to realize she could not tame the Sea Basin Pokémon, and released it to Marine Cave, where it now sleeps.

Jamie & Myles

Jamie & Myles are part of the vendetta Team Hyper. They are much like Jessie & James, except much more serious, often resorting to harsh trickery to steal Pokémon, and actually have gotten away with some attempts. They trail Amy constantly through Kanjo trying to get their hands on her team, but after constant defeats, almost give up. They end up cheering for her at the Kanjo Regional Tournament. When they battle, they prefer to Double Battle.
