Baht (Japanese: バーツ Baht) is a Wishiwashi that Sun owns in Pokémon Adventures and his third overall. Prior to joining Sun it was part of the school of Wishiwashi that formed the Totem Pokémon of Brooklet Hill.

History

Prior to the start of the series Baht was raised by Lana alongside many other Wishiwashi to be the Totem Pokémon of Brooklet Hill. They eventually became too powerful for Lana to handle and begin causing havoc on anyone they could.

Baht first appeared in PASM09 at Brooklet Hill, helping Sun recover his 1 yen coin. Glad for the help and worried the 8 meter Totem Pokémon might eat Wishiwashi Sun decides to add it to his team and names it Baht, though he decides he can catch it in a Poké Ball later. Sun then asks Baht to take him to the Totem Pokémon and the two head out into the water. After searching for hours Sun is still unable to find the Totem Pokémon and decides to join Baht in the water. Underwater he sees a lot of Wishiwashi and questions why Baht brought him to his habitat. En attacks Baht and it swims away, but comes back after activating its Ability Schooling. Seeing the School Form Wishiwashi in front of him Sun realizes that Baht and the other Wishiwashi are the Totem Pokémon.

Baht attacks Sun and En with Water Gun, taking En out of the fight. Sun switches for Dollar just as Baht fires another Water Gun and hits with Aqua Tail. This enrages Dollar and he begins furiously attacking the Wishiwashi, but Baht and the group easily push Dollar back. Hoping that defeating the leader will disperse them Sun tells Dollar to attack Wishiwashi's left eye, as that is where Baht is located. Baht attacks with Water Gun and Dollar avoids it, but is then immediately hit by Wishiwashi's tail. Dollar uses the momentum to get close to the left eye and slash it, breaking apart the Wishiwashi. Having a better understanding of each other Sun asks Baht to join his team again. Agreeing to join him Sun catches Baht.

Baht was first used by Sun to rescue Lillie from an attacking Bruxish. Using its Schooling Ability Baht summoned many Wishiwashi and turns into its School Form. Baht secures Lillie in its mouth and then attacks the Bruxish. Sun and Lillie later wash up on a beach and are rescued by Acerola.

Personality and characteristics

As described by Sun Baht is a small, hesitant, crybaby. Despite this Baht is eager to prove its worth and does not back down from challenges. It is very helpful, grabbing Sun's lost yen for him without any motivation to do so.

Wishiwashi in the anime

Wishiwashi appeared at Brooklet Hill in Big Sky, Small Fry!, being hooked up by Lana with her fishing rod, who then proceeded to battle it with her Popplio. Popplio attacked Wishiwashi with Bubble Beam, but it had little effect on the Small Fry Pokémon. It was eventually defeated by Popplio's newly learned Aqua Jet, which caused it to revert to multiple Solo Form Wishiwashi. Defeating it earned Lana a Waterium Z from it as a reward.

In the games

In Sun and Moon, Wishiwashi is fought as the Totem Pokémon at Brooklet Hill.
