I'll expand this list at a later date, but right now the only Pokémon I hate, off the top of my head, is {{p|Jynx}}. I don't care about the controversy, personally I think the idea it was racist is a load of crap. Anyway, first off the thing is ugly. It's a bad design, and purple or black skin, it is just an ugly Pokémon, horrible design. Second, its voice is annoying, its cry is loud and obnoxious and makes no sense. Granted, a lot of Pokémon cries sound nothing like their names, but Jynx's cry sounds like nothing. Second, it's attack. {{m|Lovely Kiss}}? If I got kissed with those ugly purple throw pillows, forget being put to sleep, I'd hang myself.

Profile

I'm Drake. I've been into Pokémon since the days of Yellow, but don't watch the anime anymore. Currently I've played every Generation III and prior game, with the exception of Leaf Green, and beaten them all. I haven't played Generation IV because I don't have a DS, but once I get it I'm sure I'll end up buying a IV game sometime. It sounds as thought they've really gotten complicated with the move system though, which is not appealing to me, but I'll see for myself someday.

Favorite Pokémon

I don't do defense, I like speed, power, and lots of them. The closest I ever came to a staller was mt Magmar with Rest and Toxic, but I'm an aggressive battler, if i teach a move to a Pokémon it either does a lot of damage or inflicts a status ailment. I love my dragons, my dinosaurs and my sweepers, so I find and raise the toughest powerhouses I can. I also love large movepools, being able to teach my team nearly anything I need whenever I need it. Among my more treasured engines of destruction are:

Charizard
Gengar
Magmar
Electabuzz
Nidoking
Sceptile
Absol
Sharpedo
Salamence
Breloom
Skarmory
Armaldo
Flygon
Solrock
Kabutops
Aerodactyl
Dragonite
Gyarados

Hated Pokémon

I'll expand this list at a later date, but right now the only Pokémon I hate, off the top of my head, is Jynx. Third, it's attack. Lovely Kiss? If I got kissed with those ugly purple throw pillows, forget being put to sleep, I'd hang myself.

Jynx is really, just a badly designed Pokémon. I can't stand it.

Shinies

I've caught a Shiny Caterpie in Fire Red and subsequently evolved it into Shiny Butterfree. I've caught a Shiny Magikarp on Ruby that I didn't evolve. In Crystal I got myself a Shiny Magby from the Daycare Egg and evolved it into a Shiny Magmar. Pink is not its color, it really isn't.

Teams

In every game I play, I make my team right off the bat, decide what Pokémon are in my final lineup, when I'll get them, and what to use until then. That in mind I follow the plan and form my team ASAP and start pumping them up. In my earlier days I made a point of replaying a game several times and never using the same Pokémon twice, so I got pretty good at knowing who learns what and overall what Pokémon work well.

These are some of the teams I've formed, and by that I mean these are the ones I can remember.

Team Darkness

This team is sorely outdated, back in Generation II. It was pretty tough back then, but now, not so much. It was the first team I actively sought out the members for, trading among my various Gen I games for them early on. Obviously, the theme was darkness and evil. They were all at 60 for the Battle Tower on Crystal, but I think I ended up raising them higher, can't remember, it's been a while.

The only member of the team I was never really proud of was Sneasel - it never really worked out with it, it learns all sorts of special moves and lacks the damn Spec.Atk to use them properly. Everyone else rocked, especially Team Leader Gengar, my prime sweeper. There was almost nothing it couldn't nail a type advantage against.

Team Dragon

My Gen III Dragon all-star team, I had planned it out and trained the Pokémon, but my dad lost his GBA and thus the trades to actually put the team together never happened, although all the members were ready to go. I have fairly easy requirements about what I consider Dragons - besides the literal Dragon-types, dinosaurs like Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Rhydon, etc, make the cut to me. You get the pattern I'm sure. I love Dragons as a whole, I collect them, and one of my fondest/terrifying moments as a kid was watching Lance's Dragonite sweep my entire team on Yellow. So Dragon-types have made an impression on me since Game 1.

I remember being pleasantly surprised with Sceptile. I'd come to expect a lot of things from Grass-types by Gen II - low speed, lousy move pool, general uselessness. But I never expected a Grass-type Dragon, much less one as strong as Sceptile. It remains a favorite of mine, although Grovyle looks cooler. At the time I didn't have any experience raising Milotic, but now that I've recently got one and seen what it can do, it would take the place of Gyarados should I remake the team some time.

In the end, Altaria ended up taking the crown for disappointment. I was surprised when my sweet little Swablu became a mighty Dragon - with a limited movepool offset only by TMs, low speed and high defense. In other words, IMO Altaria is what a Dragon Pokémon should "not" be, and it was quickly kicked off the team to make way for another Dragon, one that ended up usurping the title of Team Leader from Flygon. It took me a while to figure out the little head-busting scamp could only be found in one room in Meteor Falls, but it was worth the bother...

I can't remember their levels, but I do recall their moves sets. Also, I'm not confident about Aggron. I remember raising one and planning a movepool for it, but don't recall if it actually made the final cut. But it's as good as anything to put up for now.

D2

The second coming of Team Darkness, now that I own FireRed, Ruby and Emerald. However, I make these movesets and team with Generation III in mind as I haven't played Gen IV. I admit the team is very similar to the original Team Darkness, but the way I see it - why change what works?

D3

I haven't played Diamond and Pearl, but if I ever do, this will be the team. Currently though, it's all hypothetical and based only on what I've read here. Gotta admire Gengar and Magmar, still going strong and on the team after two revisions, although he's not team leader anymore. Currently my perception of darkness includes Psychic, Ghost and Dark types. Go figure.

My Dad

Yup, dear ole' Dad gets his own section on my profile. Until his GBA was stolen, my Dad was my top rival, and by top I mean only. At one time we played parallel to each other, me on Gold and him on Silver, and we clashed across a Link cable a lot. He's pretty good, but he's never played Gen III, only II. He also never shows much variance in his team, one way or the other he ends up using the same seven Pokémon over and over in some combination, but they serve him well. He doesn't play anymore, but then, he doesn't have his own GBA anymore. If he gets another one, I plan to introduce him to Ruby and Gen III.

Raticate
Pidgeot
Feraligatr
Ampharos
Gyarados
Quagsire (being Gen II, he served mostly as Dad's HM Slave)
Alakazam

Sandbox

As per the page for Smart Contest, I'm creating tables for the other four contests in my sandbox before I move them out, simply because it's a big job and can't be made all at once.

Cool Contest
Tough Contest
Cute Contest
Beauty Contest

Also, I once made my own version of the Elite Four when playing Gen III. Here they are
