Name Origin

Is there any strong reason to think that its Japanese name might derive from the reverse of an Arabic word? This seems pretty unlikely to me, especially if there isn't any other connection to Arabic. --Wynd Fox 06:24, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

Fire Lash in Alola

As I'm aware, Heatmor received Fire Lash, a signature move, in Sun & Moon. However, with getting this new move, Heatmor itself is not obtainable in Sun & Moon, except for transfer. Would that make him the only non-legendary Pokémon to do this? I'm aware this happened with Mewtwo in Black & White, which is why I mention it being non-legendary. If the reason you're asking is for the sake of trivia, let me point out that the staff have taken a "no exclusions" stance on "only one"-type trivia, so Mewtwo would be enough to disqualify Heatmor from being unique. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:08, 16 October 2017 (UTC)

Reference to real world?

There appears to be a furnace site named “Heatmor”. Is this a possible name origin?

I doubt it, but even if it probably was, I don't think we could mention it for copyright reasons. Not without confirmation from an official source. Landfish7 23:48, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
