Pokémon language (Japanese: language) is the medium by which Pokémon communicate in the anime.

In the anime, most Pokémon will only say their names, and will communicate using those syllables. However, many other Pokémon are able to only screech or roar. The anime does not touch upon the subject of Pokémon speech much and hence, not much can be known about it. For example, it seems that different species of Pokémon are able to understand each other, but due to some references to particular "Meowth language" and other specific Pokémon language, it is currently unknown whether each Pokémon species shares a common language or has a different language of its own.
