Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, is the manga adaption of the movie and was written by Makoto Mizobuchi. The manga has few differences from the film it is based on.
The first chapter appeared in the May 2006 issue of CoroCoro and the full graphic novel released in English in August 2008. The manga consisted of four chapters:
- The Legendary Pokémon Manaphy is Born!!
- Bursting in! Akusha, the Temple of the Sea
- Protect the Sinking Temple!
- Back Home to the Sea
