Kitty (Japanese: ピーすけ Piisuke) is one of the Pokémon that Yellow has in the Pokémon Special manga.

History

Kitty first appeared in Celadon City as a wild Caterpie, where it was rescued by Yellow from the flames of Blaine's Growlithe which was attacking Agatha's Gastly. Persistently, Kitty then followed Yellow to the eastern Cerulean mountains, where Yellow spent an entire day attempting to catch it. With Green's assistance, the Caterpie was finally caught.

Later, in the battle against Lance, Kitty evolves twice directly into a Butterfree.
