Pokémon Artist Ken Sugimori

Ken Sugimori (杉森建, すぎもり・けん) is a friend of Satoshi Tajiri and draws the original artwork for Pokémon games. He also has drawn conceptual artwork for the movies, and draws for TCG cards.

Some of Ken Sugimori's works, among that of other artists, can be found in Game Freak's gallery archive section, and include artwork of Whitney, Officer Jenny, and Jessie.

His change of style over the years has been interesting. At first, he used a stiff, lightly-shaded style that was very reminicent of the early works of Akira Toriyama.
