Ether and its upgrade, elixir, are a type of item from the Pokémon games. They can be used during or out of battle to restore a move's PP. They can often be found on the ground, whether readily visible or hidden from sight and requiring an Itemfinder to locate. Unlike most items, however, they cannot be bought at any Poké Mart.
Types of ether

The standard and most common kind of ether. Restores 10 PP to one move.
File:MaxEtherSprite.png Max Ether
An improved ether over the regular ether. Restores all PP to one move.
File:ElixirSprite.png Elixir
An improved type of ether. Restores 10 PP to all moves of one Pokémon.

The best and least common kind of ether. Restores all PP to all moves of one Pokémon.
