The Itemfinder is an item used in the Pokémon games to find hidden items. In R/B/Y/G/LG/FR it is given to you by a Prof. Oak Aide in the Route 11 lookout after you have 20 different kinds of Pokémon. In G/S/C, it is given to you by a man in the southernmost building of Ecruteak. It cannot be sold, and can be applied to be used with the Select button starting in Generation II games.
In the TCG
The Itemfinder in the TCG series is a trainer card that allows you to retreive a trainer card from your discard pile and put it in your hand. It comes with a high price, though, of 2 other cards from your hand.
