Double Rainbow Energy is a Special Energy card released in the EX Team Magma vs Team Aqua expansion. Like its predecessor, it became a vital and powerful force in gameplay, with the ability to provide two Energy of any type.
Card text
| Double Rainbow Energy can be attached only to an Evolved Pokémon (excluding Pokémon-ex). While in play, Double Rainbow Energy provides every type of Energy but provides 2 Energy at a time. (Has no effect other than providing Energy.) Damage done to your opponent's Pokémon by the Pokémon Double Rainbow Energy is attached to is reduced by 10 (before applying Weakness and Resistance). When the Pokémon Double Rainbow Energy is attached to is no longer an Evolved Pokémon, discard Double Rainbow Energy. |

Trivia
- Strangely, though regular Rainbow Energy is rare (and was even holographic in the Team Rocket release), in its initial release, Double Rainbow Energy was merely an uncommon card. This was altered for future sets.
Origin
- This is a doubled-up variant of Rainbow Energy.
