Yamashita was born on September 7, 1989 in {{wp|Shizuoka Prefecture}}, {{wp|Japan}} and became a seiyū and singer as an adult. Yamashita joined the {{pkmn|anime}} during [[Pokémon Generations]], where his only role was [[Saturn]]. Yamashita later gained his most notable role as [[Gō]] during the [[new series]]. He is currently affiliated with {{wp|Arts Vision}} and won the Best Male Newcomer Award during the {{wp|8th Seiyu Awards}} of 2014.
