A Bug Maniac (Japanese: 昆虫マニア Konchū Mania, or Bug Maniac, German: käfermaniac) is a type of Pokémon trainer that first debuted in the Generation III games. They are generally depicted as teenage boys with nets and bug cages.
They specialize in strong Bug-type Pokémon.
Bug Maniacs are apparently more experienced Bug Catchers.
