The Bird-type is an elemental type given to two Glitch Pokémon.
This type only exists due to a programming oversight. It is thought that Bird was a beta name for the Template:Type2, as this was allegedly seen in beta versions of the Generation I games.
The Bird-type remained in the games' coding during Generation II, likely because the coding for Gold and Silver was based directly on that of Red and Green.
When it is applied to a damaging move (through hacking), the Bird-type weakens no Pokémon, and no Pokémon resist it, much like the Template:Type2.
