• This episode aired just five days after A Sandile Gusher of Change! did in the US, which also featured the recurring Sandile, and was its debut.
• This is the first time when a Pokémon evolves during the Best Wishes series, and a new evolution effect is introduced along with it.
• Prior to the airing of this episode, manga scans (which normally detail an event occuring in this episode) included Tepig and Snivy, however they do not actually appear in this episode.
